Alex says

Founded in 1937, this is an upmarket restaurant and bar big on wines but with a very limited craft beer selection - but it does have a cask offering which is generally very fresh as there is not much competition. It is named after the Minetta Brook which flowed through the area to the Hudson River before development took place. A number of famous figures such as Ernest Hemingway used to hang out here. There is a 'smart casual' dress code. (11/2015)
